Morcote is full of surprises, but nothing quite prepared me for Parco Scherrer, a magical botanical garden that feels like stepping into another world.
As I wandered through the park, I found Greek statues, Roman temples, Indian pavilions, and tropical plants—all nestled among exotic flowers and cypress trees. Each path led to a new discovery, from secret fountains to breathtaking lake views.
The park’s silence, broken only by birdsong and rustling leaves, made it the perfect escape from the world. Sitting on a stone bench under a pergola, gazing at the shimmering lake below, I felt as if I had found Morcote’s most peaceful corner.
